I have to be honest. I was a little reluctant to go to C.O.P for some skiing a few weeks ago. Not because it’s bad but because the mountains are just an hour away and they offer some of the world’s best. However, my fiancés family were up from Mexico and her sister really wanted to try skiing for the first time. As a complete newbie, I wouldn’t recommend the mountains because I knew she would spend the whole time on the bunny hill. With a price tag of $110 (rentals and lift ticket only / not including lessons), it’s extremely expensive if your not taking advantage of the best runs.
C.O.P on the other hand is perfect. Not only is it actually located in Calgary, but for $55, a skier can get a 1.5 hour beginner lesson, rentals, and a full-day lift ticket. What a deal! C.O.P it was. [Read more…] about Learning to Ski Without Leaving the City
