The region encompasses lakes, mountains, and valleys, each offering distinct growing conditions. Winemakers can work with an array of grape varieties, from cool-climate varietals such as Riesling and Pinot Noir to warmer-climate varietals like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This diversity adds richness and complexity to the local wines.
