Things to Do in Calgary - The Calgary Skyline

There was a time when choosing your accommodation was pretty much as simple as finding a hotel or motel. Nowadays, there are all sorts of options for finding a place to stay, including fancy hotels, bed and breakfasts, and more recently, Airbnbs. In this guide, we’re going to share our favourite Calgary Airbnbs.
Calgary is our home city and the headquarters for Must Do Canada, so we know the city very well. Without a doubt, finding a cool Airbnb has become a popular thing to do when searching for where to stay in Calgary or anywhere else for that matter. However, we’ve noticed that other recommendations are based all over the city, and while that may work for some, anyone visiting Calgary as a tourist is not going to want to stay in the far quadrants of the city. So, we’ve only included areas that we recommend, such as downtown Calgary, 17th Ave SW, and Kensington.

We’ve done the work of sifting through the various Airbnbs, their reviews, their photos, and what they offer. And this is what we recommend…

Table of Contents

  • Our Top Airbnbs in Calgary Picks
  • Downtown Calgary Airbnbs
  • Kensington Airbnbs
  • Beltline & 17 Ave SW Airbnbs
  • Chinatown and Eau Claire Airbnbs
  • East village & Bridgeland Airbnbs

Downtown Calgary Airbnbs

Like all cities, downtown is where much of the action is. For Calgary, that’s places like Stephen Avenue (8th Ave), which is a historic mostly-pedestrian street in the heart of Calgary, just a few steps away from attractions such as the Calgary Tower and the Glenbow Museum, as well as walking distance to the Calgary Libray and the National Music Centre. You’ll also find lots of restaurant options, trendy shops, and bars.

If you are into history and art, visit the Glenbow Art and History Museum where you can learn about Western Canadian history and see some displays of art and artifacts from around the world.
