4. Three Sisters Sea Kayaking Day Tour

⭐️ RATING: 5 out of 5 Stars (178 reviews) | ⏳ TOUR LENGTH: 6 Hours | 🚀 BOOK NOW
While the towns of Nova Scotia are quite charming, there’s also lots of natural beauty to explore, which is why we recommend this Three Sisters sea kayaking tour. Paddle from Spicer’s Cove onto the calm waters of Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, admiring the towering cliffs as your guide details the park’s fascinating ecology and geology. Discover the rocky keyholes, archways and sea stacks for which it is famous. Admire the stunning beauty of the magnificent peaks of the Three Sisters and enjoy a picnic on a nearby beach as the rapidly falling tide alters the entire landscape.
We originally planned this trip for a Wednesday but upon arriving to Nova Scotia, we quickly realized the weather here is quite fickle.. The kayaking company called us a couple days in advance warning of wind and asked if we would be able to reschedule—we did. DEFINITELY do this excursion and prioritize it! Give yourself the flexibility in your travel schedule to reschedule if needed. Bring layers as the hot sun + cold water + wind can mess with your body temperature. Bring sunscreen. Water shoes recommended, otherwise you don’t get very wet. Very patient guides, everyone stays at the same pace. I don’t kayak regularly and this was very enjoyable. Best part of our vacation!

Sail down the narrows of the Northwest Arm and see the sun setting over the beautiful homes as you toast the experience with four wine tastings perfectly paired with local cheese boards.
We visited Halifax on a vacation from Rhode Island, USA. We knew we wanted to get out on the water so this tour seemed a perfect choice….and it was! The weather could not have been more perfect – following some dreary days prior! We were welcomed aboard a beautiful sailboat by three very friendly crew mates! Anna greeted us with a chilled glass of wine and the table was spread with a very inviting charcuterie board. We soon met our shipmates, three lovely ladies, two from Australia and one from Ontario. Caleigh was our captain and Andrew her first mate. They shared the perfect amount of details about the area and were very open to questions. Anna did a great job introducing each wine with interesting tidbits of information about the vineyards. She obviously loves wine like we do! The views and sunset were beautiful, the company was lovely and we can’t think of a better way to spend an evening in Halifax, NS! Cheers!!

⭐️ RATING: 5 out of 5 Stars (140 reviews) | ⏳ TOUR LENGTH: 1 Hour | 🚀 BOOK NOW
Whenever people ask us about our most memorable experiences in Nova Scotia, one of the tours that always comes to mind is Alexander Keith’s Brewery in Halifax. While the way beer is made is more-or-less the same at every brewery, what makes Alexander Keith’s different is both its history and the overall performance of the tour itself. First off, this is one of the oldest breweries in North America, which is quite evident in the building itself. Founded in 1820, the beer is still wildly popular from coast to coast and on this tour, you’ll get to visit the facilities, learn about the brewing process and the brewery’s history, sample a number of beers, and enjoy some good east coast entertainment.
Great tour! We walked through 3 separate rooms with 3 different guides who gave us lots of history of the brewery in a fun manner, along with a complementary glass of brew. The last room is a bar where we had more tastings along with some great music performed by 3 talented guides. Lots of fun!!
